Just started watching "Game of Thrones"....WHY just now? Because I was once a big George R. R. fan, until the disappointment of "FEVRE DREAM"...brilliant idea, one ripe for a movie...Vampires on a Riverboat, floating leisurely down the Mississippi, causing occasional Death and Havoc...Great Story, TERRIBLE ENDING.....So I ignored "Song of Fire and Ice: A Game of Thrones"....I thought it was a re-working of the Frank Frazetta thing....

IT IS GREAT. I am really enjoying it. Certainly the most interesting thing on television....

If you love "Game of Thrones", give the LYONESSE trilogy by JACK VANCE a read. You will not be disappointed...
In fact, MADOUC, the last book in the series, is probably the best High Fantasy novel EVER written....
