The more I consider the impossibility of what has been accomplished architecturally in TIAHUANACO,
the more I become convinced that it was all done in a very simple manner.
No floating huge 30,000 lb. blocks from a quarry 50 miles away, over Lake Titicaca in barges to Tiwanaku...
I believe that the Folk of Tiahuanaco found a way to either PULVERIZE the stone into POWDER and reconstitute it, or they found a way to LIQUIFY stone...
The very preciseness of the architecture suggests, to ME at least, the usage of MOLDS!
Then all you would need are a few simple DRILLS and SAWS to smooth and shape the product.
Like BRICKS of today, or PLASTER poured into molds....
Accounts very simply for the precisely spaced holes in these megaliths, the EXACTNESS of the immense H pillars...
The very HARDNESS of the stone....BAKING!
That may be how so much was done over so vast an area.
The tradition of building in such a manner may have been passed down to the AZTEC/MAYAN, then SPANISH/MEXICAN ADOBE preparation!
Ain't that simple?
