I was new at this particular job, hadn't been there long enough to get to know anyone, worked in an office full of WOMEN.
3 guys and 21 WOMEN.
The women ruled the place unabashedly, the last BOSS had been run out by them, the new one had yet to get settled in.
One day, there was a group just behind me, RIDICULING their husbands, saying all the usual stuff, LUSTING after the UPS guys and the kids that delivered the WATER....
They were asking WHY did they ever get married, their MEN were so WEAK, so WORTHLESS, such PUSHOVERS, then they began actually CRYING about the Men in their pasts that they WISH they would have married.
Just WHO did their Husbands think they were, anyway.
"THEY ARE THE MEN THAT DECIDED THAT YOU WERE WORTH TAKING A CHANCE ON!", I said to them.
"The GUYS that didn't just keep going."
First thing I EVER said to them.
They were STUNNED, folks.
Absolutely wide-eyed and SILENT.
Strangely enough, we all became sort of friends after that....
I've got a BIG mouth....
