Pole dancing is now no longer a monopoly for women, as even men can earn their living by making it their profession.
The man, who sets example for male pole dancers, is A Tao.
The 23-year-old Qingdao native has been dancing around the pole for six years. He left home to get special training in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. Five yeas later, he came back and started performing in different clubs in Qingdao.
Tao said that though sometimes people make fun of a male pole dancer, he still loves the dance that has changed his life.
"I don't think only women can perform pole dancing. I want to show that men can do it in a more powerful and masculine way," Chinadaily.com.cn quoted him as saying.
Men can in fact make at least 10,000 yuan a month working at nightclubs, with some even taking the amount up to 40,000 to 50,000 yuan per month.
