My first great love affair began with a NOTE, written in mint-green INK, on light blue stationary, in the lightest, most delicate handwriting that my young eyes had EVER seen....

I learned more about LIFE.... in a manner QUICKER than any WAR would have taught me...

But that bit of laughter
and that kick in the ass
prepared me more for the FUTURE
than ANY amount of sweet kisses
would have done

SURE did like those KISSES, though...!
