ANOTHER ANCIENT ALIEN CITY

ANOTHER ANCIENT ALIEN CITY

Description:

A city named for the DEMON GOD, BAAl...

But, that just depends on how you look at it....To the ancient people that founded this city, who were neither Greek, Roman nor Egyptian, Baal was a God of the Sun, and possibly of Fertility...

Not much else is known....

BAALBEKK, today, is a small village of about 7,000 people in LEBANON...

The mighty structures here are larger than almost any of the other ancient structures in the world...

When Mark Twain/Samuel Langhorne Clemens visited here in the late 1800's, NOTHING was known about this area. He hired a guide by the name of "Faraway Moses", a man fiercely proud of his name and celebrity...So, Clemens pretended to have NEVER heard of him, and always called him "Ferguson", just to irritate him....

"Faraway Moses" knew NOTHING about the structures at Baalbek, just that they had existed for thousands of years before the Greeks, Egyptians and Romans who were to occupy the area at different times in it's history...

Thousands of years before Alexander of Macedonia arrived with his triumphant armies.....

There are monuments of stone here that weigh from 100 to 1,0000 TONS, far heavier than anything the Greeks/Romans/Egyptians have shown evidence of being able to raise...

Heavier than any machine ever made by MAN, so far, have the ability to manufacture or LIFT, even with today's metal machines and mega-cranes...

The Romans re-named the city "HELIOPOLIS", city of the Sun, dedicated to the Gods Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter.....

The Acropolis here sits on a BASE that defies any other structure of it's type on EARTH. It is the largest stone base ever created, with 24 monoliths upon it, some of the monoliths weighing over 800 tons...

The Greco/Roman God BACCHUS has a temple still in existence here...

The Temple of Venus, the Temple of Jupiter, the Temple of Mercury and The Odeon are the top tourist sights, the best preserved Roman ruins in the world, better preserved than those in Italy...

Who built the original city of Baalbek? How much did the Roamns and the rest contribute to the architecture? The Romans themselves were astounded at what they found here, and celebrated the mystery in song and story....

BAALBEK is estimated to be, at very least, 10-12,000 years old.

It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site....
