ZEUS transformed himself into an EAGLE, swooped down and KIDNAPPED the boy.
Took him to OLYMPUS and RAPED him.
He became one of Zeus' FAVORITES.
That is WHY Ganymede is in orbit around Zeus/JUPITER to this day, along with his other conquests like IO, CALLISTO and EUROPA....
