omg only watched 5 mins. as soon as the 'doctors' came on it was obviously fake. although the phenomenon may be real this 'documentary' is NOT! the doctors are obviously acting. The thing is with actors is they think they are brilliant. but the hardest thing for an actor to do is Reality! How people react in movies is NOT how people act in real life.
While talking they are giving way too many expressions! people don't do this when being interviewed in real life.
anyway it's just some shit that bugs me :) -

yes i have found one of the doctors is in fact an South African actor, he played in the movie District 9 as Grey Bradnam. so this has to be fake. plus at the very end of the film it says:
though certain events in this film are fictional navy sonar test have been directly implicated in whale beachings.
"the bloop" is a real phenomenon there is still a debate about what it may be
none of the institutions or agencies that appear in this film are affiliated or associated with it in any way, nor have they approved its contents. any similarities to any persons alive or dear are purely coincidental.

I made the presumption from the start that this was akin to their Lost Tapes series ( "a realm where fact meets fiction, science meets legend and where nightmares come to life ") where they tell stories in a similar style. I enjoyed watching it.

Actors playing the parts of the scientists yes, but are they acting a fictional dialogue or or they recreating what the actual scientists involved have testified to?
It's common for actors to do recreations like this..but is that what we're seeing here?
They state at the end of the film that the unidentified recordings are genuine, although 'certain parts of the film are fictional'...are the fictional parts dramatic recreations or pure fiction that's the question.
Facinating though either way and very thought provoking.
