US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has arrived in Istanbul to hold talks with Turkish authorities about the unrest in Syria.
US officials say the secretary of state is to meet with Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, to discuss "how to support the opposition."
The US and Turkey have both been explicitly supporting the insurgents carrying out deadly attacks inside Syria.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Dr. Randy Short, with Baltimore Chapter, SCLC, to further discuss the issue.
