I have been bracing the camcorder against my chin as of recent (summer 2012). that seems to help a bit. I have tripods and have tried to use them in the past in which it failed (X3 + loss of time recording). when 'they' are directly above me (straight up) it would be difficult to use a tripod & I will loose recorded time. I have been shooting on my back for over 2 years now. sorry, I get frustrated too with it. this gets difficult because I never know what 'they' are going to do next (flight path - blink in or out)? I dont want to risk loosing the recording of the encounter. thanks for the interest in my experiences.

invest in a tripod! or image stablizing software.
