Deadly shootings are unavoidable in the United States, where unlike most developed countries, guns and even very powerful firearms, are "by law so freely available," says an analyst.
The comment comes as the United States' lenient gun laws are being questioned as multiple deadly gun attacks have taken place recently in America, in the latest of which nineteen people have been shot in at least seven shooting incidents across the US third most populous city of Chicago, with 13 people shot and wounded in a 30-minute spate of violence.
Press TV has conducted an interview with former police officer and security analyst, Charles Shoebridge to further discuss the issue.
The program also offers the opinions of former US senate candidate Mark Dankof, and Randy Short, a member of the Dignity, human rights and peace organization.
