And to add more to the woes of the US and US-led NATO countries: Green on Blue attacks: the killing of NATO soldiers by Afghan forces: A spike this month totaling over 40 deaths.

This is while even as this war costs the United States close to 300 million dollars a day, over a third of Afghans are living in abject poverty with many suffering basic living necessities like electricity.
