Jordan's Prince Hassan bin Talal has slammed the West's stance on the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), saying that members of the organization should not be blocked from meeting, Press TV reports. "We should not be blocked from the possibility of meeting, talking and hopefully thinking together," Prince Hassan told Press TV on Thursday.
He described the NAM summit as a "possibility for many countries to express their views" saying that the "name-calling in politics" will not "last for too long provided people are prepared to do something and are virtuous at the same time." Prince Hassan, who represents Jordan's King Abdullah II, also said NAM member states need to create a regional economic and social council in each region and develop a social charter to empower the poor.
