A documentary film crew is making a movie about conspiracy theorists and their crazy ideas, and the filmmakers seem fairly dismissive of them until one of the "crazies" disappears. The crew investigates and falls into a rabbit hole of deceit, intrigue, and danger. You know, it's not paranoia if they really are after you.
