Description:

In the fall of 2008 a research team noticed a circular disturbance on the Rio Grande and traced it to a very large artisian spring vent on the channel bottom. This video is a converted Power Point presentation. To read all the info on the slides, make use of the pause button. There is video of the gravel-shot vent. AMAZING! Video provided by Paul Bauer, Associate Director, Principal Geologist, New Mexico Bureau of Geology & Mineral Resources/New Mexico Tech
