There has been much discussion on the internet about the hypothesis that suggests that there was geologically rapid shifts in the relative positions of today's geographic locations of the poles and the axis of rotation of the Earth some time in the past. This resulting in calamities such as floods and tectonic events. Undoubtedly this did occur in our past, but what are the chances of this type of event happening again ? Will it even happen within our, or our children's life time ?
