Fliegezeug is indeed correct. Polar shifts are i facta naturally occurring event which has repeated since the infancy of our planet. Although it is very difficult to precisely predict the effects this will have on the planet and the life found on it, it is safe to say that they will be significant. I doubt skyscrapers would be submerged under tidal waves, but who knows. At the very least, many of our fauna, and even perhaps flora, will be severally affected (which of course would lead to drastic results to our ecosystems). Many animals have evolved to be dependent on Earth's magnetic fields, so a reversal of such would invariably confuse them and very likely cause the extinction of many species.
No need to worry about it though folks as there is nothing in our power to affect this event. Just sit back, and marvel at the magnificence of our Universe in action! ;)

I have been worried about this happening for the past few days since I first saw that Saturn had turned 45 degrees. If that were to happen here it would mean Tidal waves so high that even the tallest skyscrappers would be under water. I feel we need to be watching Mars right now because it is out further towards Saturn. If it is an external force as I beleive that it is then Mars will be hit next before we are affected. Please check that and see.

    It's true.
This shift began to be measured 180 years ago, and it is normal.
Although several articles erroneously cite the reverse (like this one), the magnetic north pole is located near the geographic south pole, and vice versa.
