Reports about the presence of al-Qaeda's 'Jabhat al-Nusra' (Nusra Front) terrorist group that is fighting alongside the "Free Syrian Army" (FSA) in the city of Tripoli in North Lebanon have been confirmed from several sources. Even the last statement made by this group was issued from Tripoli. With that area of northern Lebanon serving as a hub and a hideout for Salafi Takfiri terrorists from al-Qaeda to go conduct bombings inside Syria and the denial of their presence by many Lebanese politicians, in contradiction to several Intelligence reports, will the Syrian Army act and invade North Lebanon as part of its cleansing process? The Lebanese Army is seen negatively by most pro-FSA Sunni hardliners in Tripoli, and the possibility of that army joining the Syrian Army in attacking Nusra Front terrorists might become a real possibility. Deadly clashes between Sunni Salafis and Alawites in the Tripoli area have been taking place for a while since the beginning of the Syrian crisis.
