Revolution in Riyadh & the Imminent Fall of Saudi Arabia's Regime: Bruce Riedel

Bruce Riedel, former deputy head of the CIA Gulf unit, has warned US President Barack Obama about possible imminent overthrow of Saudi Arabia's ruling monarchy, the House of Saud.In a memo titled "Revolution in Riyadh", he warns that the fall of the monarchy in Saudi Arabia would be a severe setback for the position of the United States in the region and could possibly lead to the partition of Saudi Arabia into several states, including a separate Hejaz, an eastern one controlled by pro-Iran Shias, and a central one controlled by hardline Sunni Jihadis.Riedel Memorandum:http://www.brookings.edu/research/papers/2013/01/revolution-in-riyadhSource: Al Jadeed TV (Lebanon)
