Iran, Russia sign MoU on security cooperation

Discussing security cooperation between Iran and Russia; Visiting Russian interior minister, Vladimir Kolokoltsev held two rounds of talks with his Iranian counterpart Mostafa Mohammad Najjar. During their meetings, the two sides discussed ways to widen Tehran-Moscow relations and implement security and border agreements between the two countries. Kolokoltsev arrived in Tehran on Monday on a two-day official visit heading a high-ranking political delegation. In the meeting, Iran's Interior Minister said Tehran and Moscow hold common views in the fight against international terrorism and drug trafficking. At the end of the talks the two sides also signed a memorandum of understanding to increase security cooperation between the two countries. Meanwhile, the visiting Russian minister met with Iran's Police Chief Esmail Ahmadi Moqaddam. The two sides discussed practical ways to counter organized crimes and drugs trafficking.
