The sarcophagus looks decidedly old kingdom or old kingdom revival ie: New kingdom circa 18th dynasty, in other words during the reign of the amarna regime (Akhenaten's family) which were well known to appear to have some sort of birth defect that gave them elongated skulls and arms. As for slaves building the temples, well we don't let our dogs cook our dinner and they damn sure didn't let "slaves" build sacred sites, conscripted labor was used in Egypt more than anything not slave labor. AND Egypt did evolve quickly but has an enormous quantity of evidence pertaining to it's early days and it's rise to greatness.
