Perhaps more than a little convenient that the day President Obama issues a sweeping "extensive statement on race in America" (as the NYT put it) is the SAME DAY his top secret FISA court re-authorizes the warrantless mass surveillance of US citizens' phone call metadata, in apparent violation of the 4th Amendment... The NSA seems completely unstoppable. What would have been the biggest story in the country, and a slap in the face to privacy advocates who despise the idea of ALL of our phone calls having their metadata stored, is now a distant second or third news item - Obama's statement on the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman controversy has taken all of the mainstream media's attention.Focus on this, not that! Also, it has come to my attention that the validity of the TSA searching valet parked vehicles story has been called into question. Linked below is the news organization's updated story. Sounds like they are still sticking to their story, but have added additional details on how the program operates. News10NBC updated story - sticking to their claim that TSA does, indeed, search valet parked cars along with airport administration:http://www.whec.com/news/stories/S3102416.shtml?cat=565Follow me on Twitter: http://twitter.com/d_seamanGoogle+: http://profiles.google.com/dseaman
