Belgium's King Albert is set to abdicate the throne to his son Philippe, who would be the seventh king of the country. After a 20-year reign, Albert, 79, will first sign away his rights as the largely ceremonial ruler of the kingdom in the presence of Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo on Sunday. After the morning ceremony, Albert's successor, Philippe, 53, will take the king's oath in the country's three official languages - French, Flemish and German - before the nation's parliament. Al Jazeera's Gerald Tan reports.
