The Syrian army has moved forward in several key areas including outskirts of capital city of Damascus to hunt and uproot foreign-backed militants. According to Al-Alam, Syria's armed forces intensified clashes with terrorists in al-Rastan, al-Houla and Teblisa suburbs of Homs. Similar clashes were also reported in Reef Idlib and Aleppo. A Syrian army officer also told al-Alam that the army concentrates on Jisr al-Kabas, near Rif Dimashq to hunt and kill the armed terrorists. The clashes between Syrian armed forces and foreign-backed militants have been escalated in several areas and the army strives to materialize its promise to civilians in order to clear more areas from the armed terrorists. The army has made efforts to secure the capital and its links to the western coast while the militants have overrun much of the north and east. The war in Syria started in March 2011, when pro-reform protests turned into a massive insurgency following the intervention of Western and regional states. More than 100,000 people have died in the foreign-hatched civil war and millions have been displaced. - See more at:
