This smells fishy to me. Could he be gathering information for a 3 letter agency? Well after this you can guarantee he is on some watch list

The idea you suggest to use the old system of voting is really a great idea. it should be implemented worldwide since it became clear that computer hacking is not the exception anymore but became the rule.
Since Snowden's revelations, everybody understands that the www is not safe. It never was as professor Postel, the main genius behind the development of the computer and internet proved already decennia ago. Internet is a beautiful instrument for research but a real treat in case of keeping personal information private. Especially in case of voting.
Any voting system should be a factual method on paper and it would give the printer companies some work back that is increasingly stolen from them. It is hard to understand why the official organs haven't already made steps to secure voting because it is now proven above any doubt that internet is not safe. It is not. It never was.
Not only can voting be manipulated but it also is very possible that the voting habit of any individual can be known and this can't be tolerated. It can all be prevented by the simple paper voting system that was in use since the beginning of the right of humans to vote.
In fact, voting on paper is a first step to go back to reality. Virtual reality has its place in reality but it can't replace reality. The reality we live in is much too precious to be replaced by an information matrix that suffocates life and reality itself. We are not bits. We are living, working loving and dreaming people and internet is just an extension to improve communication and sharing ideas and knowledge.
But as always, any tool can be used for the better or the worst. It is the job of our leaders to prevent this tool to take away or privacy, and spy for the next gossip or business deal. I wish you all the luck to get this idea viral and to prevent a fake reality to replace reality.
Unplug the voting machines. Have respect for traditional voting. Give us back reality. Keep it simple, keep it real. Say no against information pollution.
