A marine science instructor in the US has found a five-meter long Oarfish while snorkeling off the Southern California coast.
Jasmine Santana of the Catalina Island Marine Institute needed more than 15 helpers to drag the giant sea creature to the shore. The oarfish can grow to more than 15 meters and it's the longest bony fish in the world. It apparently died of natural causes and it will be buried in the sand until it decomposes and then the skeleton will be re-constructed for display. Tissue samples and video footage have been sent to be studied by biologists at the University of California.
