Malcolm D. Lee set for historic box office run in The Best Man Holiday

LEE, (Written by/Directed by/Produced by/Based on Characters Created by) has been making films since the age of 12 in animation, video and Super-8 film formats. A graduate of Georgetown University, Lee earned a bachelor's degree in English and a minor in fine arts. Lee earned a graduate degree at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he made a short film called Morningside Prep that debuted on Showtime Networks in 1997. The film went on to claim several awards, including two from the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame. His critically acclaimed feature film, The Best Man, released by Universal Pictures, scored a No. 1 ranking at the box office in October of 1999. Lee went on to direct the 2002 cult classic hit Undercover Brother, which starred Eddie Griffin and Dave Chappelle, and 2005's family-friendly ode to the '70s, Roll 's fourth and fifth filmsUniversal Pictures' Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins, which starred Martin Lawrence and James Earl Jones, and Dimension Films' Soul Men, which starred Samuel L.
