'Israel actively lobbying US Congress to pass new sanctions on Iran' [Chris Bambury @ PressTV]

Despite objections from the White House Israel is pushing the US Congress to pass new sanctions on Iran.

Israel's Economy and Trade Minister, Naftali Bennett is currently in Washington, actively lobbying US lawmakers to impose more sanctions on Iran. Bennett has already held a closed-door briefing with key senators. He's also met with a number of congressmen, trying to persuade them to oppose a diplomatic deal with Iran. Sources say the Obama administration is furious at Bennett's lobbying efforts which complicate Secretary of State John Kerry's recent bid to delay new anti-Iran sanctions. Obama's stepped in to deal with the new political problem. He's urged American lawmakers to hold off imposing any new sanctions on Iran.
