WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is unlikely to face prosecution in the leaks of diplomatic cables and other state secrets three years ago by Army Pfc. Manning, according to Justice Department officials. Although the Justice Department has not officially said Assange will not face charges, they say that there is very little possibility of bringing a case against the anti-secrecy group founder. "There is no way to prosecute him for publishing information without the same theory being applied to journalists," former Justice Department spokesman Matthew Miller said.
