Colorado Makes History With First Legal Marijuana Sales


Colorado made history on January 1, 2014 when businesses across the state opened their doors and began selling marijuana legally to adults 21 and older. The Marijuana Policy Project — — was the largest backer of the 2012 ballot initiative that legalized marijuana and initiated the process of establishing a system in which marijuana is regulated like alcohol. MPP's Mason Tvert is interviewed here discussing the likelihood that more states will soon follow Colorado's example and adopt similar laws.
