'Osborne blackmails Scotts with monetary threats' [PressTV]

British finance minister warns Scottish people that if Scotland walks away from the UK, it walks away from the pound.

The chancellor used the speech in Edinburgh on Thursday to call on Scottish people to choose to stay within the United Kingdom, and opt to keep the pound. The Scottish National Party says an independent Scotland would be able to share the pound temporarily. But Chancellor Osborne said the British government has no plans to accept it. The Scottish government has described the plans as part of attempt to bully Scotland to withdraw its independence bid. In September, Scottish people will go to the polls to vote on the future of their country.
