Hillary Clinton's campaign adviser involved in illegal shadow operation in 2008 [PressTV]

A new revelation shows former U-S first lady Hillary Clinton’s adviser was involved in an off-the-book campaign during her hard-fought 2008 Democratic presidential primary.

According to a federal court documents, Minyon Moore secured money from a Washington-based businessman Jeffrey Thompson. The businessman who pleaded guilty on Monday told the court that he was asked to fund pro-Clinton efforts in four states and Puerto Rico. The papers have been released as part of a campaign finance scandal. Prosecutors, however, say they have no evidence showing Clinton was aware of Moore’s scheme. Federal campaign finance laws prohibit campaign officers or agents from soliciting or arranging for illegal contributions
