'Fukushima operator may have to dump radioactive water into ocean' [PressTV]

Authorities at Japan's crippled Fukushima power plant say they may have no choice but to eventually dump the radioactive water into Pacific Ocean.

Fukushima operator Tepco is struggling to get rid of hundreds of thousands of tonnes of contaminated water that crippled the cleanup process. Officials say controlled release into sea is much safer than keeping contaminated water on-site. This, three years after a devastating earthquake and tsunami destroyed the plant’s power and cooling system, triggering multiple meltdowns at the FUKUSHIMA Daiichi. The contaminated water has leaked repeatedly from storage tanks ever since.
