Hamas: 'Israel will pay very high price if it attacks Gaza [PressTV]

Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh has warned Israel against any attack on the besieged Gaza Strip.

Haniyeh says Israel will pay a very high price if it attacks the Palestinian enclave. He also slammed Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman for his recent intimidation to reoccupy Gaza. Haniyeh was addressing tens of thousands of Gazans who took to the streets to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the assassination of Hamas spiritual leader, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin. Yassin and several other Hamas figures were killed in an Israeli airstrike a decade ago. Meanwhile, a top Hamas leader has reiterated the group's opposition to the so-called peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Mushir al-Masri said the Islamic resistance movement is always prepared to defend Palestinians against the Israeli aggression.
