On the 18th of September 2014 Scotland will finally have the chance to vote YES for full Independence. And rather than bleed or even die for it on the field of battle - as so many of our ancestors have done in the past - all we will have to do to realise the priceless reality of true nationhood again is write a small cross in a printed box on a simple piece of ballot paper. If we do that in sufficient numbers then the die will be irredeemably cast for Scotland to rise and, at last, be a REAL nation again. I dearly hope we embrace this last chance to do so. The video you are about to watch is honoured to make its appeal to the good hearts and brave heads of the Scotish people for a confident, proud and decisive YES vote in the forthcoming last-chance referendum. It has chosen to do this to that great and hauntingly beautiful Scottish ballad "Dark Lochnagar" as sung by the stirringly tallented Corries. It is my hope that this video strikes an uplifting, unifying and liberating cord deep in you - just as it never fails to do in me. The last infographic of this "YES Scotland YES - Embracing Our Last Chance" video, I make an honest and, in my opinion, much need appeal for followback Unity among Twitters #IndyRef #VoteYes supporters of Scottish Independence. I know this is not always feesable for Twitter accounts with a high public profile and the public scrunity and accountability that goes along with that, @theSNP for example. No reasonable person would expect, say, the Scotish Government to followback @SheepShaggersAnonomous just because they supported independence & followed the government because of that. However, other than those "understandable situations", if I can call them that, among just us ordinary folk, is it really making the best of our campaiging contribution toward attaining the priceless cultural treasure of full nationhood, to allow our personal preferences and/or biases to get in the way of the kind of "Unity in our Diversity" that we so much need for our collective political, national and cultural dreams to finally come true on September the 18th, 2014? A parting thought: If the Westminster-loving "Better Together" brigade are to be believed, and we really are too stupid, too poor, too incapable, and too *fill in the negative of your choice* of making a good go of independence, then by their own claims, and the reality of our present "Better Together" status, we must be that way RIGHT NOW while ALREADY being "together". So where on earth then is the "better" they keep banging on about? If what they say is true then a "No" vote simply continues that dire state of affairs that they themselves claim presently exists for us. So, their claims not only reek of an utterly condescending negativity but they are also fundamentally illogical to boot. Which, coincidently, is exactly what we should give their whole perspective - the boot :) "If we vote No, the sole message London will hear is: do whatever you like to us because we don't care enough to stop you." ~ Alan Bissett Yours for a brave "YES" Scotland, Man from the Hills Son of Hendry The 19th of December 2013 Namaste to all. * Suggestion: Watch this full 1080p HD video in full screen mode with the volume up :) LINKS: To This Video: My Twitter: My YouTube: Website: Twitter: YesAberdeenshire Twitter: SNP Website: SNP Twitter: CREDITS: Video Creator: "YES Scotland Yes - Embracing Our Last Chance" Gordon D McHendy, A-Team Member of Music: "Dark Lochnagar" by The Corries * Buy for only £0.69p at (Note: I have no financial interest.)
