Solar Flare Detected major solar flare measuring was observed at 00:27 UTC around region 2035, now located behind the west limb. Because the blast took place beyond the west limb, any associated coronal mass ejection (CME) will be directed away from our Update: A bright coronal mass ejection (CME) is seen leaving the blast site in the latest LASCO C2 imagery.
