'Moscow says it respects the will of the people in eastern Ukraine' [Dmtry Babich @ PressTV]

Oleksandr Turchynov has said the referendums are nothing but propaganda to cover up murders and other serious crimes. Meanwhile, Moscow says it respects the will of the people who voted in the referendums, calling for the implementation of the results without violence. Russia has also called for dialogue between the central government in Kiev and the leaders in eastern Ukraine. On Sunday, residents in the two regions of Donetsk and Luhansk took part in referendums on their future status. Nearly 90 percent of voters in Donetsk have reportedly voted in favor of independence. A ballot count is also underway in Luhansk province. Following the vote, security forces and pro-Russian activists clashed in the eastern city of Slavyansk. Activists have reportedly attacked soldiers and a television tower which is under government control. There are no reports of any casualties.
