Orwellian: USDA to Censor Media Use of Organic Logo without 'Pre-approval'

The Cornucopia Institute, a corporate and governmental watchdog in the organic arena, is reporting that the USDA's National Organic Program is now requiring public interest groups, educators, and the public to "get their blessing before using the USDA organic logo in media coverage."Source: organic logo is part of a government entity and is thus owned by the American people. Period. As long as we aren't attempting to use it to mislead in the sale of non-organic food, we have EVERY RIGHT to use that logo for journalism, education, criticism, parody and other purposes as the First Amendment and copyright laws clearly explain. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say we have to get pre-approval from the government before we can report on the government.
