'Yemeni opposition leader calls for huge anti-government demo' [PressTV]

The leader of the Shia Houthi fighters in Yemen has called on his supporters to take to the streets on Wednesday to declare the continuation of the second phase of the anti-government demonstrations. Abd al-Malek al-Houthi assured his supporters that they will be successful in their efforts to topple the Yemeni government and to end Quote “government corruption”. Meanwhile, Yemeni President Abdrabuh Mansur Hadi urged al-Houthi to tell his followers to withdraw from the capital, Sana’a. Al-Houthi made the call for the demonstration after talks between the government and Shia Houthi fighters failed. Houthis who have set up protest camps in Sana’a have rejected a proposed government of technocrats. The Houthi movement wants the government to reverse its decision to cut fuel subsidies and then resign.
