    This was discussed in the Monuments of Mars, it has to do with hyperdimesional physics and geometry, Richard C. Hoagland has talked about it many times.It seems saturn is so large it extends into higher diminsions where physics is altered and the fact that the clouds form an octagon and race around really fast keeping shape is the effect of higher dimensional physics.
