THINK... If Mars was a habitable planet many years ago, the surface of the planet would of been covered in hundreds if not thousands of feet in water. i doubt that this picture was taken at one of the highest points. I think we should wait until we can get clearer pictures to make judgements

Since there is only a statement, ie "the statue on Mars not sitting on a rock" and no further explanation nor commentary, I fail to see the point of posting this. It proves nothing, fails to enlighten and wastes space. Yosh's claim to have "sharpened it" is dubious and not overtly apparent to comparison with other photo's of the same image I have seen. Oh, and just a question Yoshy, just what is it sitting on? Jason1972 is correct its a blob of dark that can be interpreted in many ways. CosmoNOT, uploading a video is not an indicator of truthfulness or intelligence or talent, it only shows that one can follow instructions.

If I were on Mars, my 6 MP camera would show more detail.............. So why can't NASA? They only give the blurry and air brushed ones to the public! Same with the Moon and other Solar bodies.........

http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/207495main_Spirit.jpgHere's the original image (it took 30 secs to find) to provide some much needed context. What appears to be a figure is located at the bottom left.

I agree with the sentiment pointed out by others but perhaps Becca you should upload a video or two, then we can critique you? Its all too easy to be critical of others having contributed nothing yourself. How's about researching where the original image came from, its size and the we can see this 'statue' in its original context.

How can you make such a bold statement that is even a statue and not just a bunch of rocks and shadows that look like something? I hate when people say that this is a statue, or buildings...If you look long and hard enough you could see anything. I think we would all love to see civilization on another planet or some sign of intelligent life out there but to say what something is without real proof make one look silly. Keep trying.
