el Chupacabra! Heh heh. . . First time I have encountered mention of this critter, missed the History Channel thing, but Chupacabra is what sprang to mind. With no evidence to indicate that it is alien, the first assumption has to be that it is just an unknown/unidentified species OR a freak of nature. To blindly call it "Alien" is just silly and irresponsible, if it was an alien then why would it be naked in a steel trap? Where are it's tools? It's ship? No, I doubt that it is alien at all, it's just another native of good ole mother earth. . .

Obviousy it appears a child and intelligent children are always able to run away and get into mischief. Perhaps while it's parents were busy the kid got away. If this is real then the farmer has done a sad thing because it was a chance for us to show compassion at first contact instead of blind fear. I can understand the fear and confusion of the farmer but killing intelligent alien children is not a good career move and somebody missed a golden opportunity to be decent. But what would you do if you found an alien child in a trap? You can:



1. Open the trap, and hope that your camera is working and take some pictures and then let the child try to stumble to it's home base, but who knows what would happen then? Maybe the child is lost and doesn't know it's way home. The poor kid.



2. You could notify the authorities and let them handle it, and maybe you have faith in their good judgement.



Either of these options may get you vaporized by the parents but drowning the poor thing is a really good way to get vaporized. Sure I can understand the farmer's fear but he really screwed up.
