The Olmec civilization in Mexico sculpted massive stone heads 3000 years ago — 500 years before Rome was founded. These statues weighed up to 40 tonnes and were made from stone that came from the Tuxtla mountains more than 160 kilometres away. The journey would have taken the Olmecs across great rivers and virtually impassable swamps. How did they manage that?

Very funny, it show the shortcomming of science when looking at old cultures, nothing scientific about this, only assumptions.There are more elements then water and land, fire, air and ether, but hey 'they' would not know about that would'nt they?Then the strength, ancient people were much stronger then we are today.The skeletons of babies / unborn, who says it was a sacrifice.The tools used to carve the stone? When I move to another place I take my tools with me.

There is no fucking way these stones where moved like this 100 hundred miles, not in one hundred years..!! What arrogance to think they where..!!!
