That’s not how he said it, of course. The senator from Connecticut went on the government’s premier Mockingbird network (in this case, CBS) and said he expects federal health care legislation to be extremely popular, despite opinion polls that show a majority of Americans oppose it.

In other words, Americans are slavering idiots who have no idea what is good for them - that’s for the government to decide - and it is only a matter of time before they “warm” to this draconian legislation that mandates at gunpoint they buy insurance from a large corporation.
