What a horrible event and sad tragedy!! It is hard to even listen to the stories. It brought tears to my eyes! The guilty soldiers should have been tried for their crimes!! This was not a tragic accident nor the fog of war, but murder plain and simply!! The early treatment of Native Americans and the fact that slavery existed in parts of this country for the first 80 years of its history will always stand as a stain on our history.
