Description:

[ENGLISH]
The exoplanet researcher Michel Mayor, announced on April 21, 2009 the discovery in 2007 of the exoplanet Gliese 581D in the solar system known to the star Gliese 581.
These surprising findings are the result of over four years of observations
using the most successful exoplanet hunter in the world HARPS spectrograph installed on the ESO 3.6-meter telescope at La Silla obserbatory in Chile.
Planet Gliese 581 is located only 20.5 light years away in the constellation Libra orbits its star in 66.8 days.
The planet is in habitable zone where oceans of liquid water could exist and could even be covered by a large and deep ocean and also is too massive to be made only of rock material.
Two years ago, astronomer of the SETI project, Ragbir Bhathal, observed a signal similar to a laser, from the zone of Gliese 581.,
A laser beam, can not find in the space of a natural way , only can be produced artificially.
It seems, that caution is one of the greatest virtues of the scientist, because instead of running away to report the fact to the press, preferred to spend nearly five months, investigating whether there was some kind of error in the instruments, if it was not some physical phenomenon current or was simply "random noise" from space.
Steven Vogt, professor of astronomy and astrophysics, and member of the SETI project, says that the probability that Gliese 581 d this habit, and that the signal has been sent by intelligent beings, is 100%
In the International Year of Astronomy , Hello from Earth Project, by Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research of Australian Government, in colaboration with SETI project, enables a website where anyone could write a message of no more than 180 characters and would be sent to Gliese 581d, the messages were sent and receive in gliese in 20 years.
