yes, of course. i'd even prefer proof of proof when people proclaim what they say are 'facts'. but here, this is just a what-if bit. & he wasn't being down on anyone. you know how Mr. Carlin would combine sensibility with exaggeration? it's like clown shoes- they're still shoes(like regular shoes being sensible & 'so what?'), & although quite a bit distorted-looking, they're still wearable & therefore interesting:)

there are two things wrong with the theory...1. it's not impossible but there's no evidence.2. it takes credit away from human ingenuity. we should expect that after the birth of agriculture (and there's no reason to assume that's not a human invention) civilizations would form and evolve rapidly. and looking at the archeological evidence, that's what we find.

george carlin is awesome.but that doesn't mean he's right about aliens doing genetic modifications to our hominid ancestors. he probably read that on the internet somewhere or from one of the billion youtube videos that make that claim.
