What's next to the moon?

PLEASE READ......... me and 3 friends were on my front lawn around 10:30 pm when we saw a circle form on the left side on the moon. the whole event lasted no longer then 15 mins the light was yellowish greenish. if you have any thoughts or you think you know what it is please tell me in the comments i think its a star or a planet my friends think its a ufo
