It's the most famous military institution in the world that doesn't officially exist. If it did, it would be found about 100 miles outside Las Vegas in Nevada's high desert, tucked between an Air Force base and an abandoned nuclear testing ground.

Then again, maybe not-- the U.S. government refuses to say. You can't drive anywhere close to it, and until recently, the airspace overhead was restricted--all the way to outer space. Any mention of Area 51 gets redacted from official documents, even those that have been declassified for decades.

I posted this video but I dont actually agree with alot said in it!I think she slipped up at the end when she said that area 51 was named that because the downed craft was brought there in 1951. It's widely known that It's in grid number 51 of the Nevada Test Site, so it's called Area 51. There are many grid numbers and sectors at the nevada test site.If she was really a good honest reporter should would have known that but she has used a BS story to sell her book.Months back Leslie Kean released her book and it was a really good book and she is a well known journalist but I have never heard of this lady Annie Jacobsen but I can say that I doubt her honesty from that basic mistake that any real reporter would have known if they had really investigated Area-51.
