A genetically modified organism (GMO) or genetically engineered organism (GEO) is an organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques. These techniques, generally known as recombinant DNA technology, use DNA molecules from different sources, which are combined into one molecule to create a new set of genes. This DNA is then transferred into an organism, giving it modified or novel genes. Transgenic organisms, a subset of GMOs, are organisms which have inserted DNA that originated in a different species.

Dr. Sci. Biol. Irina Ermakova - the leading research assistant of Institute of the higher nervous activity and neurophysiology of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the expert on food and ecological safety in Committee «the Science for the world and safety» in Council «NATO-Russia». More four years ago under the direction of madam Ermakova experiments on influence GEO-products on live organisms, that is on rats have been made. Results of researches simply shocked scientists.
- We added in a forage to rats the genetically-modified Soybean, - tells Ermakova. Influence GEO -additives have found out not so much on adult animals, how many on the basic posterity. More than 50 % of infant rats died. About 40 % of posterity was born the underdeveloped. The survived infant rats haven't given us the subsequent posterity.
So awful consequences have been published, the Russian scientists have addressed to colleagues from every corner of the globe, demanding repetition of such simple experiment. But, for four years so anybody also didn't undertake to deny the data received in Russia experimentally. Till now scientists can't combine a common opinion, whether genetically modified products are dangerous to the person or not. For this purpose it is necessary to conduct serious independent researches, but for GEO -products there is big money and to find means for carrying out of researches very difficultly.
Manufacturers of the genetically engineered organism cultures press, including through the governments, on the scientists, aspiring to understand, are how much dangerous GEO. According to a British press, from 500 scientists-biotechnologists of 30 % have changed results of the researches «under the request» the sponsors, to much of them have threatened with deprivation of the further contracts.
The English scientist Arpad Pushtai, by the first declared a pathology of an internal of animals in which forage added GEO -potato is dismissed from institute. Have lost grants the Italian researchers who have revealed structural changes in bodies of mice, eating a forage with GEO -Soybean.
Any interested person can repeat experiment. It is necessary to take two pairs rats. Control pair to feed only GMO with products. The result at control pair - 50 % of infant rats doesn't survive, the others of 50 % don't give posterity!!!!!!!!
